Call for Proposals
The Program Committee for the 2011 ACHE Annual Conference and Meeting invites proposals for interactive sessions to be presented at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida, October 13-15, 2011. Proposals can address the following and should consider not only what we should know, do, and be, but also what is reasonable, realistic, and sustainable. Topics may include:
Our “Adult” Learner: Who are they and how do we reach them?
Our “Adult” Educator: Growing the next generation of educators for continuing higher education.
Our “Institutional” Practices: Defining the sustainable practices that allow higher education institutions to better serve and better educate adult learners
Our Increasing Dependence on Technology: Identifying the latest, most impactful "must know" tools and trends.
Our Increasing Need to Become Data Driven: Exploring methods of assessment for what we do and how we do it
Our Everyday Practice: Finance, law, fundraising, budgeting, managing grants, etc.
Our Increasing Need to Become Interdependent: Developing connections with our partners in higher education (other organizations for higher education; for-profit and nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, college and university departments and programs; traditional students and faculty; etc.)
Proposed sessions should be submitted via the ACHE conference website and the “Submit Your Proposal” link by Friday, February 11, 2011. You will be notified regarding the status of your submission by April 15, 2011.
